CJC-1295 Dosage Chart: DAC vs No-DAC Doses and What Reddit Reports article visual

This CJC-1295 dosage chart keeps two different products apart. CJC-1295 with DAC lasts about a week in the body and has human trial data. CJC-1295 without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29) lasts minutes and has none. Most dosing pages blend them, and a weekly DAC number applied to a daily no-DAC schedule is the classic mistake. Nothing here is a prescription, because no regulator has approved a dose for either form.

Key Takeaways

  • The only human dosing data come from 2006 trials of the DAC form, which dosed by body weight: 30 or 60 mcg/kg was the best tolerated range. For an 80 kg adult that arithmetic gives roughly 2.4 to 4.8 mg per dose
  • No controlled human trial of CJC-1295 without DAC was found. The usual 100 to 200 mcg per injection is convention, not a trial result
  • Of 28 Reddit posts and comments that named a no-DAC amount per shot, 10 said 176 to 250 mcg and 200 mcg was the single most common figure. That is a small, self-selected sample, not a recommendation
  • Reconstitution math: a 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water is 5,000 mcg/mL, so 100 mcg is 0.02 mL, or 2 units on a U-100 syringe
  • CJC-1295 is not FDA-approved, and FDA lists it among bulk substances that may present significant safety risks. This page is information, not medical advice

CJC-1295 dosage chart: with DAC vs without DAC

The table below answers the question most people arrive with, which is what number appears in a paper and what number appears on a forum. The two columns are not interchangeable, so read the version on your vial label before anything else.

CJC-1295 doses by version: trials, labels, convention and Reddit

With DACWithout DAC (Mod GRF 1-29)
Half-life5.8 to 8.1 days, measured in healthy adults (2006)Short, often quoted as about 30 minutes; we found no published human measurement
Human trial dosesSingle subcutaneous doses scaled by weight; 30 or 60 mcg/kg best tolerated; 60 or 90 mcg/kg in a pulse studyNo controlled human trial found
Approved label doseNoneNone
Vendor and clinic convention1 to 2 mg once or twice a week100 to 200 mcg per injection, 1 to 3 times a day
Reddit sampleNo usable dose reports28 posts and comments named a dose, almost all paired with ipamorelin
Only the DAC form has human trial data, and those doses were per kilogram. The no-DAC numbers people follow are convention, not trial results.

The DAC column rests on trial data. The no-DAC column rests on habit.

What the published CJC-1295 studies used

Two 2006 papers carry the entire human dose record, and both used the DAC form. The first was a pair of randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind ascending-dose trials in healthy adults aged 21 to 61, lasting 28 and 49 days. People received one of four ascending single subcutaneous doses in the first study, and two or three weekly or biweekly doses in the second (PMID 16352683). After one injection, mean growth hormone rose 2- to 10-fold for six days or more, and IGF-I rose 1.5- to 3-fold for 9 to 11 days. The estimated half-life was 5.8 to 8.1 days, and no serious adverse reactions were reported. The authors called it safe and relatively well tolerated, particularly at 30 or 60 mcg/kg.

The second paper gave 60 or 90 mcg/kg to healthy young men and sampled overnight blood a week later. Pulses of growth hormone kept their usual frequency and size, while the baseline between pulses rose 7.5-fold (PMID 17018654). There was no significant difference between the two doses.

Notice the unit. Both papers dosed per kilogram, not as a flat milligram figure. Multiplying out for an 80 kg adult is my arithmetic, not a number from either paper: 30 mcg/kg is 2.4 mg, 60 mcg/kg is 4.8 mg and 90 mcg/kg is 7.2 mg. The 1 to 2 mg once-weekly figure that vendors and clinic pages repeat for DAC sits below that range, and we found no trial that tested it. So the common DAC number is neither the studied dose nor a proven lower dose; it is a market convention.

CJC-1295 without DAC: the dose with no trial behind it

Mod GRF 1-29 is the same GHRH fragment with four amino acid swaps and no albumin-binding tail. In our Europe PMC searches we found no controlled human trial that dosed it, which matches the conclusion in our overview guide. Everything below is therefore convention.

A few reference points help. The GHRH analog with a current FDA label is tesamorelin, a different and longer molecule. Its current FDA label (Egrifta SV) gives 1.4 mg subcutaneously once daily for excess abdominal fat in HIV-infected adults with lipodystrophy, and the newer Egrifta WR label gives 1.28 mg once daily. Those labels say nothing about CJC-1295 and cannot be scaled to it, but they show how far an approved GHRH analog dose sits from the 100 to 300 mcg people inject. A figure you will see repeated online, that about 100 mcg is the ceiling where more stops helping, was not backed by a source we could find.

The blend is the other half of the picture. Almost every no-DAC report involves ipamorelin, a ghrelin-receptor agonist whose published pharmacokinetics in healthy men showed a terminal half-life of about 2 hours (PMID 10496658). Pairing the two is the logic behind the 1:1 vials, and it means the effects people describe cannot be pinned on CJC-1295 alone.

What Reddit users report taking

To see what people do in practice, I read 272 posts and comments from 25 threads across 11 subreddits, dated April 2023 to October 2026, returned by searches on CJC-1295 dosage. Most of those were noise: a 50-comment thread about FDA policy, a long argument about how many milliliters a vial holds, bot and moderator notices, a vendor-written review, a spam post and replies that were only questions. That left 46 first-hand accounts from 12 threads and 7 subreddits (29 from r/BodyHackGuide), and 28 of them (from 11 threads) named a CJC-1295 amount per injection. A single DAC account existed, from someone who said they had run the DAC form twice, with no dose attached, so there are zero usable DAC dose reports. Everything below is no-DAC and almost entirely in a blend with ipamorelin.

Here is how the 28 distribute.

n = 28 self-reported posts and comments from 7 subreddits, not a study. Apr 2023 to Oct 2026, self-selected and unverified. The 400 mcg and higher group includes a 1 mg claim; that is an outlier, not evidence of safety.

The mode was 200 mcg per shot, from nine people, followed by 100 mcg (five) and 150 mcg (four). Fifteen of the 28 said once daily, five twice daily and one three times a day; seven did not say. Nine described weekday-only schedules, usually 5 days on and 2 off, one saying the break was just a rest from needles. Several started at 100 mcg and stepped up. One commenter described trying 150 mcg and going back: "I tried bumping up to 150mcg but found it was harder to stay asleep so went back down to 100mcg" (a r/BodyHackGuide commenter, Mar 2026, link). Another reported titrating from 200 mcg of each by 100 mcg a week up to 500 mcg and said they liked the results.

Timing split by goal. Bedtime or evening was named by 13 of the 28, and a fasted morning injection by three, with four more people who moved to a morning dose without stating an amount. Eight people reported disturbed sleep at some dose or time, including one who said 200 mcg of each left them barely sleeping with a racing heart, and one who woke at 2 a.m. after a first-thing dose. Six described better sleep, several within the first week or two. Five mentioned racing heart, palpitations or chest pressure, one calling it "racing heart and chest pressure" that lasted about ten minutes (a r/CJC1295 commenter, Feb 2024, link). Flushing or warmth after injection came up nine times, with a couple of people treating it as a sign the product works, which is not a sound test. For the full list of what people mention, see our CJC-1295 side effects page.

Effects were mixed. Four people described better recovery or muscle retention, and one wrote that they "kept hold of my muscle a lot longer than Id have if I wasn’t on it" after cycling off (a r/BodyHackGuide commenter, Sep 2026, link). Another stacked CJC-1295 with healing peptides for six weeks and saw no change in their injuries, and three people reported early fatigue or worse cardio during the first month. Most were also stacking other compounds, including retatrutide, so none of it isolates CJC-1295.

Flag the outliers. One commenter asked whether 1 mg a night of a 10 mg/10 mg vial was too much. Three people reported 500 mcg per shot. Nobody in those threads could say what such amounts do to IGF-1 over months, and neither can we. Several commenters also made a point we agree with: dosing questions posted without the vial size and water volume cannot be answered.

Reconstitution math: mg, mL and syringe units

Most Reddit dosing arguments are reconstitution arguments. A vial holds a fixed mass of powder. Bacteriostatic water changes only the concentration, and so the volume you draw. The formula is: units on a U-100 syringe = dose in mcg divided by concentration in mcg/mL, times 100.

A worked example for a 10 mg vial of CJC-1295 without DAC: 10,000 mcg in 2 mL is 5,000 mcg/mL. A 100 mcg dose is 100 divided by 5,000, which is 0.02 mL, or 2 units. At that dilution a 200 mcg dose is 4 units. More water makes the draw easier to read, as the table shows.

Syringe units for common CJC-1295 amounts (U-100 syringe)

5 mg CJC / 5 mg ipamorelin + 3 mL1,667 mcg/mL of each6 units12 units18 units
Units = dose in mcg divided by concentration in mcg/mL, times 100. For blends the dose is per peptide; the vial gives you the same amount of the other one. Checked by hand.

Scaling by vial size is the same idea. A 10 mg vial holds 100 doses of 100 mcg, 50 doses of 200 mcg or 33 of 300 mcg. At 200 mcg on a 5-days-a-week schedule, 50 doses last ten weeks. A 5 mg vial holds half as many. With a 5 mg CJC / 5 mg ipamorelin blend, the dose math is per peptide, and each peptide has half the vial mass of the 10 mg single-peptide example.

Units mistakes are common. One Reddit reply said 3 mL on a 5 mg/5 mg blend gives 125 mcg of each per 10 units; the arithmetic gives about 167 mcg of each, and another commenter in the same thread correctly worked out that 100 mcg takes 6 units. In another thread, 18 syringe ticks on a 5/5 blend with 3 mL was called a 300 mcg dose; by my math that is 300 mcg of each peptide, 600 mcg total, and a later reply said 150/150. Ambiguity about "300 mcg total" versus "300 each" accounts for most of these mistakes, so write mcg out in full and say which peptide.

If you want one supplier to check against, Ascension Peptides sells a CJC-1295 no DAC 10 mg vial at $70.00 as of 2026-10-11 ($7.00 per mg, so $0.70 per 100 mcg dose). Ascension does not list a DAC version in its catalog search. Kovera Labs tests every batch (HPLC, LC-MS identity, net content, endotoxin, sterility and heavy metals), more than 98 percent of tested batches pass, and batch certificates are public. Prices are in US dollars, shipping is US only and all sales are final. New customers can use code PEPTIDEDECK for 50 percent off. It is a research chemical, labeled not for human use. Our guide to where to buy CJC-1295 covers how to read a certificate of analysis.

Timing, frequency and cycle length

No study has compared schedules. What exists is physiology and habit. Growth hormone release is suppressed when blood glucose and insulin are high, which is why most protocols, and most Reddit comments, say to inject fasted, with the most common figure being at least two to three hours after the last meal. That is general growth hormone physiology, not a CJC-1295 finding. One commenter claimed that injecting too soon after eating increases insulin resistance; we could not verify it. With a short half-life, daily or twice-daily injections are the pattern for no-DAC, while the DAC form is weekly or twice weekly by design.

CJC-1295 dosage chart infographic: no-DAC 100-300 mcg per shot, DAC trials 30-60 mcg/kg, Reddit mode 200 mcg
Five numbers from this page: the no-DAC convention, the DAC trial dose, the most common Reddit amount, a reconstitution example and the regulatory status.

Cycle length is the weakest area. Seven people mentioned a planned or completed course of 8 to 12 weeks, and one suggested a month off after "a few months." Nothing in the trial record covers repeated courses, and the 28-to-49-day trials ended long before anyone's cycle would.

What changes the dose

These variables are said to matter; none can be quantified.

Version. DAC and no-DAC are dosed on different clocks. A weekly DAC amount used daily would be many times the exposure the trials studied.

Blend and ratio. Vials come as 5/5, 10/10, 12/6 and other ratios. Dose per peptide, not per vial.

Body weight. The only human trials scaled by kilogram. Community charts use flat numbers. Which is right for people is untested.

Sleep response. The most repeated Reddit advice was to watch sleep and drop the dose if it worsens. That is anecdote, but it is the main feedback people use.

Health conditions. Growth hormone raises blood glucose and can retain fluid. Anyone with diabetes, a cancer history, heart disease, pregnancy or prescription drugs should talk to a clinician. Our CJC-1295 with DAC vs without DAC page covers the molecular differences.

Product quality. If the vial contains less than the label states, every calculation above is wrong. Reddit users described a vial with floating particles, which one said to throw out, and others who suspected under-dosed product.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CJC-1295 dosage?

There is no approved CJC-1295 dose. Human trials of the DAC form dosed by weight (30 to 60 mcg/kg was best tolerated), and vendor pages cite 1 to 2 mg weekly. For the no-DAC form there is no trial dose; convention is 100 to 200 mcg per injection, and Reddit users most often reported 200 mcg.

How many units is 100 mcg of CJC-1295?

It depends on the water you added. With a 10 mg vial and 2 mL it is 2 units on a U-100 syringe; with 3 mL it is 3 units; with 5 mL it is 5 units. Divide the dose by the concentration in mcg/mL, then multiply by 100.

What is the difference between DAC and no-DAC dosing?

DAC binds albumin and lasts days, so it is dosed weekly or twice weekly in the trials and by vendors. No DAC clears in minutes, so users inject once to three times a day in much smaller amounts. The two cannot be swapped milligram for milligram.

How often do people inject CJC-1295 without DAC?

In the Reddit sample, 15 of 28 said once a day, mostly at bedtime, five said twice a day and one three times. Nine described 5 days on and 2 off. That is habit, not a tested schedule.

Is CJC-1295 FDA-approved?

No. FDA lists CJC-1295 among bulk drug substances that may present significant safety risks for compounding, citing possible immunogenicity, peptide-related impurities, and serious adverse events including increased heart rate and a systemic vasodilatory reaction, with limited clinical data. It is sold as a research chemical.

Checking a vial before you do any math

The dose math assumes the label is true, so confirm lot, purity and which version you have first. Ascension Peptides lists the CJC-1295 no DAC 10 mg vial at $70.00 as of 2026-10-11, with per-batch Kovera Labs testing and public batch certificates; US shipping only and all sales are final. Write units out in full, and treat every Reddit number here as an anecdote.
